BEST technology sits at the heart of northern Europe’s largest rooftop solar installation following the inauguration of more than an acre of solar panels at the headquarters of leading Danish insurer, Topdanmark.
BEST distributor, IQ Energy, provided the project with the sophisticated real-time energy monitoring system, Eniscope, that will aggregate information on the power generated from the 3,042 solar panels, providing a visual display of the data to visitors and staff.
Lars Løkke Rasmussen, former prime minister of Denmark, officially opened the installation during a special ceremony held at Topdanmark’s offices on August 17th. EU Climate Commissioner, Connie Hedegaard, was also in attendance to make a speech to the assembled guests, which included invited representatives from BEST and IQ Energy.

The Eniscope renewables display offers organisations a powerful route to engage building occupants and other stakeholders in efforts to increase efficiency and sustainability.
TopDanmark is one of Denmark’s leading insurance providers, providing a range of commercial and personal insurance products. The company has been trading for over 100 years and has made a commitment to greener energy sources, installing solar panels at a number of their sites.
The installation in Copenhagen will generate around 752,000 kWh, corresponding to the average annual power consumption of around 200 households, saving approximately 600 tonnes of carbon emissions every year.
